Christine Kandie

Christine is the Founder and Director of the Endorois Indigenous Women Empowerment Network (EIWEN), a key advocate for the rights of the Endorois community, with a focus on Indigenous women and persons with disabilities. An accountant, peace ambassador, and woman leader, she has become a prominent human rights defender at local, regional, and international levels. Christine was named Indigenous Fellow of the Year in 2017 and a Senior Fellow in 2020 at the OHCHR, where she enhanced her advocacy skills. Through EIWEN, established in 2019, she has championed land rights for Endorois women and led efforts to empower Indigenous communities.
