An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a wealth of experience in law, governance, democracy, and development. He served as the Chief of Staff of the Judiciary from 2018 to 2021. He is also an alumnus of Hakijamii, having worked in the organisation as a programme officer before going for post-graduate studies. His career spans government, civil society, and academia, showcasing a diverse and impactful professional journey. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Law) from the University of the Western Cape, a post-graduate diploma in federalism and devolution from the Institute of Federalism at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights and Democratisation from the University of Pretoria, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Moi University.
